Let’s get started! The first thing you need to do is to draw two (or more) shapes in your canvas. To make the process faster, we’ve used the Shapes panel on the left side of the screen.

Place the shapes together, creating the same layout that you’d like to have on the final figure. It’s important that the shapes are overlapped at some point.
Select both shapes. To do this, click on them while pressing Shift in your keyboard.

Display the Edit panel. You can do this by hitting the second icon in the bar that is at the right.

By default, Canvas Workspace displays the properties panel at the right side of the screen. That’s why you’ll have to switch to the Edit panel.

At the bottom of the Edit panel, you’ll find a section called “Processing Overlap.” The first row of this section is called “Shapes.” The first icon of this row, the top left one, is the Weld tool.

You can change the appearance of your new shape as much as you want. To change parameters like the fill color or the stroke width, use the properties panel.
