What is fontcloud?

Fontcloud is a 100% free online font manager created by Creative Fabrica. It started early 2016 when we launched Font Inspector, an online tool for inspecting your fonts, copying glyphs etc. Font Inspector became very popular in a short period and ever since we have been working on ideas to take the tool to the next level. The result is fontcloud!

Fontcloud makes it super easy to view all your fonts at once. When you are working on a project it can be overwhelming to have hundreds or thousands of fonts. With Fontcloud you simply enter your text and load all your fonts. You scroll through them and whenever you see something that you like you can add them to your lists. This allows you to organize your projects. These lists can be shared with your customers for easy feedback.

Fontcloud also has an super easy to use licensing manager build in. This allows you to manage the licenses of your fonts. This way you are always sure that you never get confused about what font you can use for which project.

Another important feature of fontcloud is font discovery. Fontcloud is able to automatically load all Google fonts into your preview. This is great if you don’t have too many fonts yet or cannot find the right font for your project. The Google fonts are free and fontcloud allows an easy way of downloading these new discoveries.

How do I use it?

To get started you simply type a text in the text box and click the “Load fonts” button. This will automatically load the first set of fonts. Depending on how fast your computer is this might take a short while.

The bar under the textbox is where you can find all the controls. The tools include:

• Color selection: Select the background color of the preview box - Capitalize options: Choose how your text should be shown (lowercase, uppercase or sentence)
• Font size: Adjust the font size of the preview. This will re-render the previews so this might take some time.
• Filter selection: When you click on a font that you like it gets highlighted with a blue border. When you click on filter selected you see only the fonts that you highlighted.

How come fontcloud is free?

Fontcloud is developed by Creative Fabrica. We offer a font subscription where our users can download thousands of fonts for just a small fee ($19 per month for commercial use).

Our users consume a lot of fonts and fontcloud was developed as a tool to help them manage their fonts. We made it free to the public as we think it’s a very useful tool that deserves to be used and help out people all over the world.
