Good class! I’d give it 5 stars, but the classes are mislabeled and out of order and I had to speed through portions as they were not useful (like watching her paint the whole board - it’s not necessary to watch that whole thing).

Class Preview

Meet the maker! Corinne will tell you a little about herself and why she is so passionate about teaching crafting. She will also show off the final project so you can see what this class is all about.

Let's See All the Supplies

In this part, Corinne will show you all the supplies off and what each of them is for. You will need sand paper with different grits, as well as stain. Corrine will also inform you why you should use certain types of stain and sealants on your projects.

Preparing Your Wood

Here you will find out how to use the correct grit sand paper, and some techniques in sanding.

Painting Your Wood

In this video, Corinne will make you discover what paint and techniques to use, to make sure your paint comes out looking professional.

Sealing the Wood

Because your wood sign will be outside and you are applying vinyl to it, you will need to seal it. This step is very important for this project. Without it your vinyl may not stick to your wood. Corinne will explain why that happens and why we seal to prevent that.

Working with a Duo Font and Creating your Design

Corinne will learn you how to unzip and fully install out fonts and how much fun working with duo fonts is, and how to access glyphs in the font to really make your designs POP!

How to Cut with Cricut Smart Vinyl Using the Roll Holder and No Mat

You will understand how to cut on the Cricut Maker with no mat and use the roll holder for a large 21 foot roll of smart vinyl.

Applying Extra Long Vinyl Designs Using the Hinge Method

Here you will see how to apply your new decal flawlessly using the hinge method to ensure no bubbles or off center designs.

Wrap Up

In this section, Corinne will show you some really nice close ups of the finished project along with some extra tips and tricks to working with wood and vinyl together!
