Thanks Terrie! The free Gnome sewing pattern can be found on lesson 2 of this class "Tools & Supplies" so you can download it from there. I know it's a bit confusing. I hope to see your finished Gnomes posted as a class project!

Class Preview

In this class preview, you will meet Luci, and she'll give you a sneak peek of what to expect from this gnome project.

Tools and Supplies

In this video, you will find out what materials you will need as well as tips on how to find quality materials at different budgets. There is also a quick instruction on coordinating fabrics and furs to make an enchanting gnome.

Making the Body in Two Ways

The quick and easy sock body will be shown first, followed by a body sewn with custom fabrics using the sewing pattern included with this class.

Adding the Beard

In this section, you'll learn how to cut the fur and position and glue the fur beard to the body.

Give Him a Nose

In this section, you will form a large snuggle nose from a piece of stretchy fabric, using a needle and thread combined with poly stuffing.

Making a Hat in Two Ways

A simple sock hat will be shown first, followed by a hat sewn using your own custom fabrics with the pattern included with this class.

Add Some Feet

Lucy shows you how to cut out the feet and turn them right side up using hemostats. A special filling technique is taught that mimics a soft sculpture.

Embellishment Ideas

In this final phase, you'll learn how to style your beard or mustache using a simple mix of 'hair gel for dolls.' Then Lucy will show you many gnomes with various accessories to help you get your creative juices flowing!
