Reviews
Sarah is a wonderful instructor. She is articulate, doesn’t waste our time giggling and talking about things that have nothing to do with the class, and has beautiful projects.

Thanks for your review Rebecca! We totally agree, Sarah is wonderful :)

In this quick introduction, meet your instructor, Sarah, and learn a little bit more about what's coming up in the rest of the Class.
Find out what materials and tools you need to complete the lessons in this class. Plus, download the free dolphins SVG to follow along with the rest of the lessons.
IncludedLearn how to upload layered SVG into Cricut Design Space, including how to select the correct file if the designer has included different file types in their product. Sarah will take you through different ways to upload based on whether the designer has included all the layers of the design as one SVG or each layer as a separate file.
Let's play with our SVG! See how to resize and recolor the layers, plus how to customize the design by hiding parts you don't want to cut and even how to simplify the design so that it can be cut smaller without the Cricut struggling on tiny detailed pieces.
Never cut your papercraft at the wrong size again! See how to measure your shadow box frame for the perfect fit, plus how to create mats and layers in Design Space for a beautiful, professional background to your frame.
Layered designs can look a bit daunting when it gets to the "Make It" screen and you see all those sheets of cardstock for the first time! See how to rearrange layers to use fewer materials, how to overcome bugs in Design Space that can affect your final cut, and how to find the best cardstock options in the materials selection list.
Get Sarah's top tips for cutting cardstock with a Cricut machine in a handy PDF printable guide. This video includes handy cardstock tips such as: how to get more use out of your Cricut mats, how to get your card stuck really well to the mat to stop it from tearing, and how to get the card off the mat without it curling, and more.
Let's stick all those lovely layers of cardstock together! See how to assemble the papercraft following Sarah's assembly guide, PLUS how to tell which layers to add foam squares to and which to glue if the design you make doesn't come with a guide.
Your papercraft is so nearly finished now! All that's left are to stick the background layers together and get the whole thing framed. Not sure about your background? See Sarah's hack for testing out the background "for real" on your wall without any long-term commitment!
Congratulations on your perfect papercraft project! In this quick conclusion to the class, let's recap everything we've learned and celebrate your success!
