This product contains a bonus 9th mockup with 2 adjustable pages. The binding housing and rings are 2 separate objects. This allows you to underlay the separate adjustable page elements. You’ll need to add your own drop shadows to the adjustable pages using Canva’s drop-shadow tool if you want shadows. Individual tabs are included so you can add the number of tabs you want to each side of the planner. They are color-editable and have separate drop-shadows.

Use this document mockup for Canva to display your A5 or 6×9 designed planner pages, trackers and work sheets. It’s also great for creating mood board designs (look at mockup 3) or just graphics with made-up pages for your creative designs. It works like Photoshop. Quick and easy drag and drop of your designs into the custom-created clip frames for a realistic and professional end-product. 100% customizable to your brand or aesthetic.

Show your clients how their planner will look in ‘real life’, or how your planner templates will look in their planner.

Once you download the User PDF, navigate to the last page where you’ll find the link to access the ring-bound planner mockup template. The link will take you to a single Canva template containing all 8 mockups.

To use the mockups, all you need to do is drag and drop your JPG or PNG (not transparent is best) design or pattern straight into the custom-created clip frames. Your design will look like it’s been printed on the document cover or pages. Just like it would in a Photoshop mockup. The shadows and lines of the binding will remain visible. You can edit them to be darker or lighter, depending on how dark or light your design is. See the PDF user guide for more detailed info. The Canva file also contains detailed user instructions for each mockup in the page notes.

For the best effect, use texture images like leather, denim, linen, suede, etc. for the cover texture.
High-quality, fully editable images will ensure a neat and professional end product.

Once you’ve opened the template it will save in your designs folder. When you open a new design, navigate to the ‘projects’ folder in the left sidebar, find this template (you’ll recognize it by the cover graphic), click on it, then select the page you want to insert into your new design. This way you won’t be editing the original either.

You can customize all surface colors with one click. Drag and drop or clip your design onto the mockup surface of your choice, add your own background color or texture, and add props to customize further and add interest to your designs. Shadows can be edited by selecting just the shadow section of the object and adjusting the tint, blur or opacity. Instructions are included in the download PDF.
