Learn to Create a Wooden Wick Soy Wax Candle
What you'll learn
In this tutorial, specialist in candles and soaps, Amanda Chittenden will show you how to make a 100% soy wax candle with a crackling wooden wick. She will teach you basic safety protocols for candle making, fundamentals of soy wax, how to choose the appropriate wooden wick size for your candle, and how to properly wick your candle using a wooden wick. She will also discuss the process of melting soy wax, at what temperature to add fragrance, and at what temperature to pour the candles. Finally, she will guide you into making a batch of candles together, from start to finish. When the candles have cooled, she will show you hot to trim the wooden wicks and discuss troubleshooting along the way.
