Lindsey Shares Her Passion & Love for Handmade Junk Journals
We’re delighted to introduce you to one of our amazing CF Fans creators, Lindsey Zenor. Lindsey is the owner of Nevermore Creations 17, an online papercrafting store, focusing mostly on handmade and junk journals.
She sells her own own, as well as runs a consignment section to sell other artists’ work, and has sold thousands of journals from many artists around the world.
Lindsey also has a YouTube channel where she showcases completed projects and does tutorials or inspirational crafting videos. She loves to dabble in graphic design and enjoys creating digitals that her followers can use to create beautiful, unique projects.
In this interview, Lindsey tells us about how she found her way to paper crafting and journaling, and shares her favorite thing about crafting.
How did you find your way to paper crafting and journaling?
I have always loved paper and writing. Even as a little girl I wrote in journals and made piles of paper projects. In college I studied English and Education and graduated with a B.A. in Secondary Education. Eventually everything came together and I love to teach others how to create beautiful paper crafts.
You have made so many amazing tutorials on your YouTube channel. Where do you find inspiration and how do you stay inspired?
I find inspiration all around me. Sometimes I jot notes down during something as silly as a baking competition tv show. I find inspiration in literature, words, and especially nature. If I am feeling uninspired, I love to watch other craft videos and tutorials on YouTube and in a matter of minutes, I am usually ready to sit back down at my craft desk.
How would you describe your crafting style?
My crafting style is definitely eclectic. I love vintage, modern, and everything in between. I find much joy in mixing different styles and adding a splash of mixed media in on top for good measure. I don’t like rules, and bend them whenever I can. I love reusing, recycling, and trying new things.
What’s your favorite thing about crafting?
My favorite thing about crafting is the process. I love how my mind and hands work together to create something new out of random pieces. I love sharing my work and inspiring others.
What was your most recent favorite crafting project you made?
I really enjoyed trying a new collage/mixed media process for creating journal covers. I was inspired by another crafter, and took the idea in my own direction.
Do you do any other types of crafts besides paper crafting?
Yes, but I mostly weave them all together in my journals. I love beading, sewing, and dabbling a little in most other craft categories.
Could you please explain what you offer in your CF Fans subscription?
