• Die-Cutting Machine
• Acrylic Ball Head Stirrer
• Vinyl & Acetate for the text
• Double Sided Foam Dots
• Hot Glue/Cold silicone glue

How to create this project

Make a three-dimensional cake topper with a few simple steps!

Create a personalized message using fonts

Browse Creative Fabrica’s website for an endless amount of fun fonts and designs to include in your project.

For this project, the Calligraphy font Freestyle was used, which is available for free as part of Creative Fabrica’s Crafting Month.

Choose a cake topper template and any additional decorative elements.

Create your design with the software of your choice – in this project, Cricut Design Space was used.

Cut the design with your die-cutting machine. For this tutorial, a Cricut Explore 3 was used, but you can use your cutting machine of choice.

Assemble & Decorate your cake topper

This cake topper is decorated with paper flowers. Roll the flowers using the end of the acrylic stick and make sure they are secured with hot glue. For this step, you can also use cold silicone glue.

Assemble your cake topper using foam dots and mount the foam dots for height and dimension. Adding your acrylic stick at this point is essential, and you can use hot glue to ensure that the stick is attached.

Cut the text that you created using a font from the free Calligraphy Special Bundle with your cutting machine software on vinyl and acetate. Attach the vinyl onto the acetate, and apply this onto the cake topper.

Your project is completed!
