Handwriting fonts are simply fonts that look like they are written by hand. These fonts are great for projects that you want to have a casual, handwritten feel. Unlike script fonts that are traditionally more decorative, handwriting fonts look like true penmanship. Just like individual handwriting, however, these fonts can range from childlike to girly to blocky. They are written in pen, pencil, or marker and can including printing and cursive styles.

Free Handwriting Fonts

The best fonts are free fonts! You can download some amazing handwriting fonts for free in a variety of ways. My favorite free handwriting fonts have come from the Creative Fabrica free daily gifts email! You can get a selection of free fonts, crafts or images delivered straight to your inbox each day and once you download them, they save to your account downloads on Creative Fabrica and can be downloaded again later. This came in especially handy when I got a new computer and I could re-download all of those fonts to the new desktop! If you check out the free fonts page, you can also find hundreds of great free fonts, and sometimes special, limited-time freebies. The best thing is that all of these have commercial licenses, which allow you to use the font in products that you sell without fear of copyrighting issues.

Free Font Bundles

Hands down one of my favorite fonts of the moment is I Love Glitter from Misti Fonts. It is such a beautiful script font with connecting hearts. It’s easy to use and has tons of special characters that are PUA encoded for easy access.

Hey Magnolia

This amazing handwriting font comes with tons of swashes, stylistic letters and even connecting hearts!

Yessy

This elegant, feminine font has so many stylistic letters and tails, it is the perfect font for so many projects. It can be dressed up or down depending on your needs.

About Love

About Love is a romantic scripted font with lovely heart details and a series of alternate swashes to fit your font needs. This is a great handwritten font for social media and wedding announcements.

Thank You Nurses

I love this font as a mixed upper- and lower-case handwriting font, but with the stethoscope swashes you can add, it really is a wonderful font to have in your collection.

Sweetie Almeera

This fun, unique font is actually a font duo but it comes with so many discretionary ligatures, swashes, and doodles, that it landed in this section. Sweetie Almeera is cool and special and worth the download!

Homeland

Homeland works great on a wide range of projects and has a very natural right-handed flow.

Beverly Hills

This handwriting font really feels like a true signature font, something like how you would sign your own name. It’s classy and modern but slightly elegant.

I love Silently because the handwriting style closely mimics my own natural writing, including the cross-like “t’s”.

Christmas Story
