Draw a Dinosaur Step by Step

Materials:

• Writing Utensil (pen, pencil, marker, etc.)
• Paper
• A smile!

Step 1

Draw the head.

Step 2

Lightly sketch a cross shape through the middle of the head. This will be a guide for the dinosaur’s facial features.

Step 3

Draw the muzzle and ears of the dinosaur.

Step 4

Draw eyes, eyebrows, ears, horns, and nostrils. Be creative! 

You may erase your guide lines when this is complete.

Step 5

Draw the body and tail.

Step 6

Draw the front legs.

Step 7

Draw the hind legs.

Step 8

Add spikes on the tail and claws on the dinosaur’s feet.  

Step 9

Add your own small details to your dinosaur! This can include, for example, pads on the feet and scales on the tail.

Step 10

The dinosaur drawing is now complete! Now you may color it in with paint, markers, or colored pencils to add your own personal touch.
