Arranging the layers
Select the layers and ungroup them.
Select the borders you don’t need and remove them.
Select the layers containing the score lines and on the upper left-hand menu select score.
Select every piece together with its corresponding score lines and attach them. Press the ‘make it’ button and start cutting.
Assembling the frame
Fold the four long pieces so that the folding marks remain on the inside.
It is very important that the folds are completely straight, following the score lines, so that the opposite sides remain parallel.
Apply glue to the flap and close and connect the pieces.
Let the glue dry completely. There are two different types of pieces, A and B.
Grab one of each piece (A and B) and put them together forming a right angle, as shown above in the images.
To connect the pieces, apply glue to the interior flap of piece A. Then, apply glue to the flap of piece B and drop on the corner of the upper face that we are going to put under piece A.
Put the pieces together and press them so they fit perfectly.
Apply glue to the border of the base lengthwise on both sides to glue the remaining pieces.
Following the same steps, assemble the remaining two pieces.
When it is dry, glue the remaining section to the base and to the other two pieces.
Press on the corners and adjust the position of the outer frame until they remain perfectly positioned.
Grab the back support piece to stand the shadow box up. Fold them along the fold marks, following the direction of the arrows. Apply glue on the two smallest flaps.
Glue the piece on the back of the frame, close to the edge, and let it dry. Stand the box up to see what kind of angle you want to give it.
Mark with a pencil the height location in which you want to glue the upper flap.
Apply glue to the upper flap and connect it to the marks you have indicated.
Before you attach the final border, you can put flowers on the inside or decorate the shadow box in any way you’d like. Attach the final border when you are done decorating.
