Assembling the flowers
1. Creeping Daisy
Use a ball tool to make the petals curve a bit, then fold the petals towards the middle.
Bend the petals outwards.
Attach the yellow strips following the correct order, beginning from the end of the widest strip to the most narrow one (there are four different sized strips).
Insert the widest end into the slash of the quilling tool and start rolling.
After rolling three or four times, you can release the quilling tool and continue with just your fingers. Apply hot glue when you get to the end.
Push the bottom with your thumb to make the surface more curved.
Apply hot glue and let it cool.
Apply hot glue and attach the petal layers.
Glue the petals and the center together, then press the stamen outwards. Fold and bend some of the petals a bit more (but not all) to make the flower look more natural.
Grab the flexible wire and cut three pieces, one for the central stem and two shorter ones for the leaves.
Grab the longer wire and make a small loop at the end with the pliers. Apply hot glue onto the bottom of the flower.
Attach the stem and let the glue cool.
Apply hot glue to the leaf and attach the wire. Apply a bit more glue and let it cool.
Grab the self-adhesive floral tape, press with y our fingers on the end to heat up the wax, and activate it. Start rolling the tape around the stem.
Once you’ve rolled down about one inch, assemble the calyx, fold the small round flap, and glue the piece around the stem.
Glue a couple of sepals to the bottom.
Continue rolling the tape around the stem. Assemble the first leaf.
Roll the wires together. Keep rolling the tape for a bit, then assemble the second leaf. Continue rolling the tape until the end of the stem. Then, curve and fashion the leaves and flower.
2. Common Daisy
Follow the same steps previously explained for the Creeping Daisy.
3. Gerbera Daisy
Put the first layer of petals on a modeling mat. Use a ball tool to make the petals curve a bit, then press with your fingers to make them bend towards the center.
Grabbing the petals one by one, pressing with your fingers where the petals join in the center, this section is really weak and you risk pulling off the petals if they are not handled delicately. Slide a wooden stick along the petal to make it curve.
Score a circle around the external border of the internal petal layers. Fold the petals and do the same with the layers.
Attach the yellow strips, then insert one of the ends into the slash of the quilling tool and start rolling.
After rolling three or four times, you can release the quilling tool and continue with just your fingers. Apply hot glue when you get to your end.
Apply glue onto the smaller layer of yellow petals and attach the center to it.
Continue attaching all the petal layers following the correct order.
Fold and bend a bit more some of the petals to make the flower look more natural.
Score the veins of the leaf, then apply hot glue to the leaf. Attach a piece of flexible wire.
Attach a piece of flexible wire. Apply a bit more glue and let it cool.
Grab the wire stem and make a small loop at the end with the pliers. Apply hot glue and attach it on to the bottom of the flower.
Grab the self-adhesive floral tape, press with your fingers on the end to heat up the wax, and activate it. Start rolling the tape around the stem, and once you’ve rolled down about one inch, assemble the calyx.
Fold the small round flap and glue the piece around the stem.
Glue a couple of sepals to the bottom.
Continue rolling the tape around the stem.
Assemble the leaf. Roll the wires together and continue rolling the tape around the stem.
Curve and fashion the leaf and flower.
