Print on Demand Challenge: Summer Vibes
This one is all about birds and leaves!
Here’s the second episode of our Print on Demand Challenge. The dynamic of these inspirational posts is straightforward: we pick a Full POD graphic from Creative Fabrica, and we create six different designs with it.
The objective of this challenge is to show that Full POD graphics can give you a lot of creative possibilities. Of course, you can use them without making any modifications. But if you want to have fun and boost your POD catalog, you should always try to create new designs with these resources. If you lack inspiration, we are here to help!
There is no need to have in-depth Graphic Design knowledge to follow this article. Here you have some design tips for Print on Demand projects. For this post, we have used Canva and Printify’s Mockup Generator.
On this article:
Cute Print on Demand bib
The first design that we are going to create is a lovely bib with a watercolor beetle on top.
The beetle is the protagonist of the composition. To give it an extra touch, we have placed it on top of this watercolor stroke.
We have downloaded our design as a PNG file. For us, it was essential to have a transparent background.
We have placed the design in the center of the bib. It’s essential to adjust the size of the plan to the printing area.
And here is the mockup for our first design! Doesn’t it look cute? We like the delicate touch of the watercolor drop on top of the bib.
Print on Demand computer case
The second design on this post is a personalized laptop case. To make it look unique, we are decorating it with two birds and purple lettering.
To make the birds face each other, we have flipped the right one horizontally. The font that we’ve used for the lettering is called Hey Spring. Follow the link to find it.
To keep a proper resolution, we decided not to make our design very big on the template. For the sake of a balanced composition, we have placed it in the middle.
And that is it! Our mockup is ready to upload to a POD store. The watercolor illustrations look elegant here.
POD tumbler with a beautiful pattern
For this tumbler, we have decided to combine different leaves. We are going to put them together in a cute pattern.
As you can see in the image above, this pattern is not seamless. It’s not a problem for us, and we like it like this. If you want to learn how to create a seamless pattern, check this other article.
In the image above, you can see how we placed our pattern in the editor. Printify lets you choose which side of the tumbler you want to customize.
And this is our mockup for this project! We love the delicate aspect of the watercolor leaves.
Floral POD bed for pets
In the beginning, Print on Demand was all about hoodies and T-shirts. Luckily, nowadays, you can customize a lot of different elements. For our next design, we have decided to create a bed for pets. Let’s do this!
As you can see in the image above, we have overlayed a lot of botanic elements. We flipped some of them horizontally to make them fit in the composition.
We’ve decided to place our design in the center of the composition. This pillow is quite big, so we needed to create a bigger file to guarantee an excellent resolution.
And here is the mockup for our puppy’s bed!
Cute Print on Demand fanny pack
Our next design is going to be a fanny pack. To give it a trendy look for the Summer, we are going to add a floral composition.
These two purple orchids are copies of the same element. We have flipped one of them to get a different aspect.
It’s time to place our design in the editor. For this fanny pack, we had to adjust to the printing area.
And here is the mockup for this project! We like the realistic effect of these promotional images.
POD T-shirt with a message
The last design of this chapter is a cute T-shirt with a purple print. Let’s see how we made it!
We decided to rotate our purple watercolor leaf. The font that we used for the lettering is called Hello Sunday.
We decided to place our design on the front side of the T-shirt. Once again, we had to adjust the dimensions to the printing area.
And this is the mockup for our last design! It looks so sweet and realistic, doesn’t it>
We hope you’ve found this challenge insightful. If you are also creating POD designs with our files, we would love to see them! You can share them with us at [email protected]
