How to align elements in Canvas Workspace
If you want to group different elements on your canvas, start by selecting them. To choose different elements simultaneously, hit Shift on your keyboard and hit every item with the mouse.
Once you’ve selected all the elements you want to group, click the right button in your mouse. You’ll see a small task menu on your screen. On this menu, select “Group.”
Now all the elements that you selected are grouped! As you can see in the image below, when you choose them, they count as one. Let’s see what happens when you make changes to this group.
If you move, resize, or scale this group you’ve created, you’ll modify all the elements. Canvas Workspace will make the same changes to every piece at the same time.
If you want to ungroup the elements you’ve grouped previously, select the group in the canvas.
Once you’ve selected the group, click the right button in your mouse. You’ll see the same menu that you’ve seen before. This time, instead of “Group, “select “ungroup.” All the elements will become independent again.
That’s it! You have ungrouped all the elements.
To align elements in Brother Canvas Workspace, you’ll need to display the Edit Panel on the right side of your screen. By default, Canvas Workspace displays the Properties panel in that area. To switch to the Edit panel, hit the second icon at the top right corner. You’ll see a small arrow pointing at the icon on the image below.
On the Edit panel, you’ll find a section called Align. All the icons in this section might appear faded.
To activate these icons, select the shapes in your canvas. These icons will immediately appear in color. Now, you can directly click on them.
Canvas Workspace allows you to align objects horizontally and vertically. We’ll take a look at both options now.
The first row in the alignment section allows you to align shapes vertically. To try this function, place all the figures in the same vertical edge. Select all the items that you’d like to align and choose one of the options on the menu.
Hit the icon at the left to align your items to the left. Hit the icon in the middle to align your items to the center. Hit the icon at the right to align the objects to the right.
It’s straightforward!
To align your shapes horizontally, focus on the second row of the align options. Here, you’ll find the icons that allow you to align your objects horizontally.
Hit the icon at the left to align the elements to the top. Hit the icon in the middle to align the pieces to the center. Hit the icon at the right to align the components to the bottom. That’s it!
We hope you’ve found our advice useful. Good luck creating with your ScanNCut machine and Brother Canvas Workspace!
