How to group text and objects in Cricut Design Space
Step-by-step how to group and ungroup objects and fonts in Design Space.
The toolbar in Cricut Design Space can help you work more efficiently when designing cut files. The Group tool is one of the features that can be a big time savior when it comes to organizing the layers.
This article will explain how to make your work easier by grouping objects, images, layers and text in Design Space.
How to use the Group tool
The Group tool comes in handy when resizing or moving multiple objects on the canvas. It works by combining the layers of your designs into a single group.
You can find the tool in the toolbar to the right of your canvas.
To use this tool, mark all the object on your canvas that you would like to group and press Group. In the layers panel, you will now see that your available layers are sorted into a group.
When you move or resize the group, all the layers within that group will change into the same size or move together.
You can create multiple groups with different objects and text within the same project in Design Space.
How to ungroup
Ungrouping is just as easy as grouping. Simply mark the group that you wish to ungroup, click UnGroup located in the toolbar to the right.
